Lee Jong-suk and costar Park Shin-hye shared compliments at a news conference Thursday.

“Park is lovely. When I’m with her for filming, I always say that she is pretty. People think that I am flattering her, but I really mean it. I think she’s charming enough to fall in love with,” Lee was quoted as saying.

Park returned the compliment.

“Lee is a very handsome and nice person. He has good manners, too. He also brightens the vibe on the set, encouraging the staff and actors,” Park praised Lee.

The SBS drama “Pinocchio” depicts a relationship between a woman who cannot lie in nature and a man who lives with a fake name. Park plays the role of Choi In-ha, a rookie reporter who suffers from “Pinocchio syndrome.” Lee, on the other hand, plays the role of Choi Dal-po, a colleague who used to be a taxi driver.

The rom-com is scheduled to premiere Wednesday, after “My Lovely Girl.”
